May is American Stroke Month and according to the CDC, every 40 seconds, someone in the United States has a stroke. But more often than not, people will bypass stroke symptoms or calling 9-1-1, taking matters into their own hands. Dr. Joshua Marcus with Nuvance Health highlighted the importance of getting an ambulance in the event of a stroke.
