CT Humane Society Pet of the Week

Good Morning! Today we have Kensington! He is about 3.5 years old. Kensington was found outside by veterinarian staff and they neutered and vaccinated him to prepare him to go back out and live with a colony. While under their care they noted how social he was and how he loves attention.  They thought maybe he was a cat left behind rather than a feral so they gave us a call to see if we can help place him . Now here he is! Just yesterday one of our cat volunteers left his cat space and could not stop gloating about how wonderful he is. He was meowing for what she thought was food, once given to him he ran over to her instead and being soliciting attention. Rubbing, kneading, giving kisses, she was in love. “I could have sat with him my entire shift if the other cats weren’t ringing the dinner bell” She laughed.

That is just a peace of what Kensington is about. He does seem bothered by other cats so we would like him to be the only cat. He has not met a dog so we would have to do an introduction to see how he feels and the same goes with children.

If you’re interested in Sir Kensington or any of our available pets visit us online at cthumane.org to view our pet bios. If you find someone that seems to match what you are looking for come on down and fill out our adoption application.  We hope to see you there!
