CT Humane Society Pet of the Week

CT Humane Society Pet of the Week

This week we are bringing you baby Stitch, a 4 month old dilute tricolor lion head. Stitch is exceedingly fluffy and friendly. He’ll be a joy to have in any home. He needs a family who can groom him regularly and give him lots of free roaming time. He may like to be bonded to a spayed female. Like all our adoptable rabbits, he is neutered and vaccinated for RHDV2. Speaking of RHdV2, we’d like to take a moment to talk about this devastating virus that’s affecting the domestic and wild rabbit populations across the country. It has recently arrived in Connecticut and can easily spread to domestic rabbits that are kept outdoors, and even those indoors as the virus can be carried into your home on the bottom of your shoes. We recommend all rabbit owners speak to their vets about getting their little ones protected. If you have any questions about Stitch or how to give your rabbit an enriched and happy life, give a call at the Westport branch of CT Humane or visit online at cthumane.org
