The Humane Society has a soft spot for sassy cats. Sometimes cats are more independent, or have more opinions about how the world should work. They need love too. Melonie is seven years old and a bit…portly. She’s an orange tabby with green eyes and a big white tummy that she loves to show you. Once you know her, you can even pet her belly, but only once you know her and that is a slow process.
Melonie prefers to supervise and hang out without a lot of cuddling. She likes to be near you—in fact she often sleeps at your feet but does not enjoy being picked up or moved around. Even so, she is a pleasant companion and one worthy of a good home. She prefers to be the only pet in the home, and would not be suitable for younger children.
