WICC Pet of The Week

WICC Pet of The Week

Most people who have ever owned a lab know that the most glorious moment of their lives is when their labs are suddenly old enough to calm down. The pet of the week this week, Duke, a black lab mix comes pre-calm. This eight year old guy was adopted from the society as a puppy, and after his owner passed away he came back to find his next loving family. He is living with an excellent foster family, and they say he is a joy to have around. He is housebroken, and well behaved in the house. He loves to sunbathe on the deck, and asks to go outside whenever he is allowed to. He is also what we call a Velcro dog, tending to follow his people around the house and sit near to them and ask for pets. He enjoys his walks around the neighborhood, and loves to play fetch or tug for a good 15 minutes or so each day. Because of his size, he’s recommend for families with older children. He would prefer to be the only dog, but may be able to live with a cat friend.
