Meet Sheena, a former Fairfield County foster, now up for adoption through our Newington facility. Sheena, a 4 year old hound, lived in a foster home with three other dogs, two large and one small. She enjoys playing with other dogs, but will correct them when she needs some space. She arrived from a quieter, more rural area, so finds the loud noises of city life alarming. She’s looking for a home in a quiet area, ideally with a physically fenced in yard for her to run around in. She is fully housebroken and still working on her leash walking skills. Because she startles at loud noises, she is looking for a home with adults only or where the children are older. Our adoption process has changed to protect our staff and clients.
