Bridgeport Book Fest:
May 29 – 7-9 p.m. Downtown Cabaret Theater – Poetry Jam and community party to kick-off Book Fest. The MC is Poet, Youth Empowerment Speaker, and literacy advocate Frank E. Brady. Dance to DJ’s from Bridgeport’s Hip Hop 1001 Youth Program. Lots of entertainment planned.
May 30 – 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Book Fest “Family Fun Day” on the University of Bridgeport campus. Arrive at Festival Welcome Tent on Marina Circle facing Seaside Park just outside the Marina Dining Hall at 374 Linden Avenue.
Both events are free to the public.
