For more than 35 years Optimus has been an important part of serving the health care needs for individuals and families in Connecticut. Optimus Health Care is a mature Federally Qualified Health Care Center primarily funded by Health and Human Services. It is the largest provider of primary health care services in Southwestern Connecticut. With more than a dozen JCAHO accredited, comprehensive community health centers located in Bridgeport, Stratford, and Stamford, Optimus provides complete health care services, regardless of race, income and insurance status.

The Optimus Mission is to improve the overall health of our communities in Bridgeport, Stamford, and Stratford, particularly the medically underserved, by providing preventive, primary care and supplemental health care services along with health education in a culturally sensitive manner regardless of ones ability to pay.
