About Melissa

Melissa Sheketoff was born and raised in Connecticut. She lived most of her life in Fairfield and is a proud alumni of Lauralton Hall in Milford. Melissa is no stranger to the WICC600 family. She started as a college intern back in 2008 working in production and voicing commercials. For nine years, Melissa worked in television broadcast. She was a general assignment reporter for News 12 Connecticut in Norwalk between 2013 and 2016. During her time there, she was nominated for a New York Emmy, won a New York Press Club Award and two Connecticut Press Club Awards. Before settling down in Connecticut, Melissa took a morning anchor job for the CBS-affiliate station in Burlington, Vermont. There, she covered news for Vermont, New Hampshire, upstate New York and Canada. She also had her own weekly health segment for the station and was a daily news correspondent for the longtime Vermont radio station WDEV. After becoming the proud mother of a baby boy, she and her husband decided to move back home to be with family. She was a consistent fill-in for the morning show for about five months before permanently joining Tony Reno on the show. It’s been eleven years and it’s come full circle for her in the state she loves at the station that started it all for her.
