Supplemental Recruitment Measures: We recruit through numerous sources for all job vacancies, including state job banks, local groups, colleges, churches and agencies (see list below). We use Radio Advertising and the Internet via our stations’ web-site and both local and national (NAB) broadcaster’s groups. The Connecticut Broadcaster’s Association sent a mailing this year notifying all our resources of their employment web-site, encouraging them to use it. We participated in the CT Broadcasters Association Job Fair on October 25, 2007 and CT Department of Labor on May 4, that had several hundreds attendees. Our Market Manager, General Sales Manager and Promotions Department attended on behalf of our station(s). We plan to participate in and host more job fairs in the future. We have an active Internship Program that we promote though our web site, on-air advertising and information is sent on the program to local colleges and universities. This successful program has been in place for many years with many of our interns being promoted to part-time and full-time positions within the company. During the reporting period we interviewed forty college and high school students for these positions in our Promotions and Programming. Internship positions are for one school semester, averaging two days a week at the station(s). Forty applicants accepted internships with us during this period and five have since been promoted to part-time positions in our Promotion and Programming departments.
