Al started at WICC in 1965. Since that time Al has many achievements to look back on and reflect.To mention a few:

1. Top rated radio personality selected by readers of the New Haven Register for the prestigious "Top Dog On The Radio" for Fairfield and New Haven Counties.
2. Top rated radio personality for many years in affluent Fairfield County with high continuous ratings.
3. Selected as "Outstanding Radio Personality of Fairfield County" by Fairfield Advocate newspaper readers.
4. Most familiar air personality - Metro Bridgeport Survey Area - by Media Specialists, Inc.
5. Most familiar air personality - Metro Bridgeport Survey Area - by Connecticut Survey Company.
6. Most recognizable air personality - Fairfield County - Wallace Washburn, Inc.

Al also is an instructor on the college level and has been for many years. He has taught at several area colleges such as: The University of New Haven, Gateway Community College, and Housatonic Community College. Al teaches Speech and Communications courses. He also has introduced, organized, and implemented Broadcasting and Speech courses at these institutes of higher learning.

Al has a Bachelor Degree from the University of Bridgeport with areas of concentration in Humanities/Social Science/Education and a Masters of Arts Degree from the Graduate School of Corporate and Political Communication from Fairfield University.

During his morning program Al features such things as a "Lost Hit", or "The Music Clock" - which he picks a year and plays the number one song on that day in time. There is always a rock and roll classic coming up along with something from the "Juke Box". Sometimes you can just sing-a-long with a selection from the "Al Warren Song Book", or play the "Quickie Quiz Just For Fun". Al is a fun guy with a fun program. Try it you'll like it! Al is a big fan of the New York Giants and St. Louis baseball Cardinals and also loves to go fishing. Al Warren is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and is very proud of that.
