1 Host Job Fair On December 2, 2008, this SEU hosted a Cumulus Media Job Fair at the Hilton Garden in Shelton, Connecticut. Our SEU solicited local employers to participate in this event and and promoted the Fair on its Stations. The SEU also participated, providing attendees with information about career opportunities in broadcasting as well as job opportunities within the SEU. SEU participants included the Market and Sales Managers.
2 Host Job Fair On March 9, 2009, this SEU hosted a Cumulus Media Job Fair at the Hilton Garden in Shelton, Connecticut. Our SEU solicited local employers to participate in this event and and promoted the Fair on its Stations. The SEU also participated, providing attendees with information about career opportunities in broadcasting as well as job opportunities within the SEU. SEU participants included the Market and Sales Managers.

4 Host Job Fair On October 19, 2009, this SEU hosted a Cumulus Media Job Fair at the Hilton Garden in Shelton, Connecticut. Our SEU solicited local employers to participate in this event and and promoted the Fair on its Stations. The SEU also participated, providing attendees with information about career opportunities in broadcasting as well as job opportunities within the SEU. SEU participants included the Market and Sales Managers.
5 Management level training regarding equal employment opportunity and preventing discrimination On February 9, 2009, this SEU’s Market and Business Managers attended a telephonic training session presented by Cumulus’ outside communications counsel regarding compliance with the FCC’s EEO rules.
6 Internship Program This SEU has an active Internship Program that it promotes on station websites and over the air. Information about the Program is also sent to local colleges and universities. This SEU sponsored twenty (20) interns during this reporting period from the following schools: Sacred Heart University; Quinnipiac University; Connecticut School of Broadcasting; Staples High School; Fordham University; Fairfield Ludlowe High School; University of Bridgeport; Southern Connecticut State University; Fairfield University; and NYU. These interns assist the Promotions and Programming Departments with a variety of tasks including SEU public relations, non-traditional revenue events and on-site station broadcasts.
7 Participate in Scholarship Program During this reporting period, the WEBE General Manager was a member of the Connecticut Broadcasters Association’s Scholarship Program selection committee. College students interested in a broadcasting career were encouraged to apply through Station WEBE. The Selection Committee members screened and evaluated the applicants to detemine which students would receive scholarships.
